User scheduling for beam forming MU – MISO - OFDM Systems

چکیده

The use of multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) transmission is an attractive strategy to increase spectral efficiency in wireless systems such as 3GPP Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and LTE-Advanced. In this work, we investigate beamforming and scheduling strategies in the downlink of limited feedback MU-MIMO systems. Modeling transmission under orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) using the achievable sum rate as performance measure, numerical results show that PU2RC achieves higher throughput and is more robust against CSI quantization errors than the popular alternative of FZ beamforming if the number of users is sufficiently large.
